Duluth, MN – Tom Sullivan, Commercial Corporate Pilot and former owner of Karate North, has announced his candidacy for the Minnesota State House of Representatives in District 7A. Tom, a lifelong Minnesotan and a Duluthian for over four decades, has seen and experienced the need for change in our region. He has accepted the endorsement from the House District 7A Republicans and is ready to fight for Duluth at the State Capitol. Tom looks forward to being part of the change that so many local residents are hoping to see.
“When it comes to our public safety, jobs, taxes, and the environment; we need to come together and find workable solutions that make sense,” shared Tom. “I may be a pilot, but my head is not in the clouds when it comes to these issues that affect us as citizens of Duluth. That is why I am asking for your vote. I will fight for Duluth by representing the northern region of our great state and start to really address these key issues that we all feel and experience on a daily basis.”
Tom was the owner and operator of both Karate North and Phase II Total Fitness, was ranked as a Top 20 Fighter by Karate Illustrated Magazine, and has also worked for Cirrus Aircraft as a Corporate Pilot and Salesman. Tom is well-known throughout the business community. He continues to work as a Commercial Corporate Pilot and is sought out nationally for his flight instruction. Tom resides in Duluth with Kathy, his wife of 48 years. Together they have four daughters and thirteen grandchildren.
