As a candidate for Minnesota House of Represtatives for District 7A, Tom Sullivan will bring his experience as the owner of Karate North and Phase II Total Fitness, as well as his fighting spirit to the State Capitol to Fight for Duluth. Tom has spent over four decades in Duluth with his wife raising their four daughters and now enjoying 13 grandchildren. Tom’s private sector and volunteer experience will give him a leg up when it comes to solving the problems our city and state face.
This is a “do not skip issue”. I support our Duluth Police Department and commend them for the work that they do. The creation of the Mental Health Unit in 2018 is a model that other departments around the country could look to utilize in this current political climate.
Short and sweet…… I do NOT support an increase in taxes for the lower and middle classes. Period. If elected, I will do what ever I can to prevent tax increases in what is currently one of the top five most-taxed states in the country.
Environment & Responsible Mining
This is a hot topic both state-wide as well as nationally. I have spoken with people on both sides of this issue, and I see ways that we can compromise while protecting our environment and still providing the mining jobs the Iron Range is desperately waiting for.
In the current Covid climate, it has never been more important to support our local businesses. These are the companies that provide jobs within our very own community and put money back into our local economy.
It is no secret that the City of Duluth has significantly mismanaged the desperately needed improvements to our roads and other infrastructure. If elected, I will fight to get funding directed to our area for much needed infrastructure updates.
As a Corporate Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, Tom gets to see Minnesota from a different
perspective than most. When he gets to the MN House, he’ll bring a new perspective to solving
Minnesota’s most pressing problems while keeping Duluth his main priority.
Please consider supporting Tom Sullivan for MN House.
